Futuristic and space-age fashion
As the word of celebrities take on new fashions which depict the futuristic style of what could be ahead, many designers are competing to be the one who gets there name into the celebrity magazines, for the most outrageous and exciting garment. Looking at where these inspirations come from I will be creating a collection of fashion fabrics, which represent futuristic elements, such as machinery, lighting, glow effect colours and the radical advancement and workings of technology. From this I will be drawing objects such as cogs and jellyfish and experimenting with mark making. I hope to achieve fabrics such as the garments by John Galliano, Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood and Mary Katrantzou.

hey to all the fellow textile peeps…. at this confusing time between projects, it is difficult to analyse the trends and catwalk shows to determine where to go next. At the moment I am working out different ideas and concepts to know which to go with. I’ll be looking at current designers who inspire me and all the latest catwalk trends such as all the fashion weeks from this year and designers such as John Galliano, Vivienne Westwood and Basso and Brooke. I’m just so glad its christmas so my brain can relax a little, but not so much as my dissertation wont be completed by the fairies……
